T.C. Lewis & Co. Properties, is a real estate and property management company located in Johnson City, TN. They rent, sell and develop many properties across the “Tri-Cities” area. The company president and CEO Corey Lewis, and his wife Haize Lewis claim to be "THE STANDARD OF COMPARISON IN FULL-SERVICE REAL ESTATE.” However, when one of their renters was forced to hire a lawyer to get his deposit back from the company, T.C. Lewis & Co Properties wrote disparaging remarks about the renter/customer solely for trying to legally get his deposit back. The check was signed by Corey Lewis, the President and CEO of the company. When the company settled with the renter they sent a check to the renter, and actually wrote in the “FOR” or “MEMO” line of the check: “BEING A CRYBABY.” (See photo of check) This is evidently the “standard” of comparison TC Lewis claims to portray. Even more ironic this company which wrote such wonderful things about a customer remarkably recently had been selected for the 2013 Tennessee Excellence Award amongst all its peers and competitors by the Small Business Administration and Institute for Excellence in Commerce just as recently as December of 2013. Hopefully, calling your customers and clients “Crybaby” is not a pre-requisite for Excellence in Commerce.
